About Kalaida Marie Holmes
Kalaida Holmes is a Human Resource professional with over ten years of experience working in training, human resource development, human capital strategy and talent management. For the past seven years she has worked for the United States Army. Being driven to help others succeed, a significant portion of her professional experience over the last ten years has been helping non-profit organizations with client training and strategic planning.
Kalaida’s enthusiasm and passion for workforce development and talent management has allowed her to create innovative solutions to enhance the ability of organizations to recruit, retain and train top talent. She was responsible for creating the foundation and building the Human Capital Team of a government organization. While under her leadership, the team set the human capital strategic vision for the organization, improved workforce analysis, created a word-class on-boarding program, established a multi-level recognition program, and established other talent management initiatives.
Effectively collaborating with other organizations leads to enterprise solutions in employee development and Human Resource Information systems; Kalaida utilized those solutions to increase organizational efficiency and capabilities. Her keen eye for detail enabled her to plan or consult on corporate and small events, including team building and training events, meeting the goals and objectives of the organization.
Kalaida is currently pursuing a PhD in industrial-organizational psychology from Capella University. She graduated from Texas A&M – Texarkana with a master’s in business, and from Illinois Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Kalaida is a certified Master Trainer and possesses certifications in the Strength Deployment Inventory and Polarity Management. She is a strong believer in continuous learning and is always seeking both developmental and training opportunities to improve her skills, so she can provide the best services to her clients.
